TIMMINS, October 3, 2013—The Timmins Chamber of Commerce is pleased to congratulate Panels and Pipes Incorporated (PPI) on being named a finalist for a 2013 Ontario Business Achievement Award.

Hosted by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), the OBAA’s are the premier business awards gala in the province with a single focus on celebrating business success.  Every year, businesses across a range of sizes and sectors are recognized for their achievements in areas including innovation, market expansion, exports and corporate citizenship.

After reviewing hundreds of nominations from across Ontario, twenty businesses have been selected by an independent jury for their successes, including Timmins’ own Panels and Pipes Incorporated, headed by President and CEO Jean-Paul Legault.

“Panels and Pipes is excited to be a finalist for an OBAA in the Corporate Contributor category,” said Legault.  “Being recognized on a provincial level for something that comes naturally to our company is an honour.  We are thankful to the Timmins Chamber of Commerce for recognizing our support and dedication to our community and putting our name forward for this coveted award.”

The Corporate Contributor Award is reserved for the corporation whose community investments have yielded the greatest returns.

“Panels and Pipes believes in supporting the communities we live and do work in.  We see these as investments in ensuring the long term sustainability of organizations and community events and enhancing the quality of life for our workers and citizens.  Our company is especially proud of the Hollinger Park Skating Oval, as well as our dedication to revitalizing our downtown core.  We are working to create a vibrant and attractive city for our company to succeed,” said Legault.

Over 500 business and political leaders will celebrate PPI and its peers at the 2013 OBAA gala, to be held in Toronto on November 20th.
