Chamber of Commerce members are actually partners in Timmins' largest business organization. Our Chamber is an active organization directed by an elected Board of volunteer Directors, people like you who have come together to solve problems and create opportunities that address your priorities. Our ultimate goal is to establish a stronger, more vital business environment in the City of Timmins.
If you're not a member, then you're missing out on the single largest business opportunity available to you: a support network of 750 plus, and a staff and resource centre with a mandate assist you in every phase of your business and its development.
The Chamber's role as an advocate is an important part of its mandate. Advocacy is the process of providing active verbal and written support for a given position. That's why it's important to have your feedback when the Chamber sets priorities at the beginning of each year.
Individual businesses sometimes find it difficult to express individual concerns, or to know who they should speak to about a problem affecting their business. The Chamber is in constant touch with its members, and encourages them to speak out on areas of concern. As a respected and well established organization, the Chamber often takes formal positions on issues that concern its membership, lending a credible and influential voice to the debate.
